My temperature afghan is coming along slowly but surely. I am contemplating only doing this afghan until the summer. It is going to be HUGE if I do the entire year. Plus, I have decided to crochet several of my family members Christmas presents this year, and I really need to get started on those. We'll see how the next few months go.
I have also signed up for Camp NaNoWriMo.
It is a lot like NaNoWriMo, but we get to choose our word count and it is in April! I have chosen to go with 30,000 words instead of 50,000. That makes it an even 1,000 words a day. My goal is to have my YA book completed by the end of August, so I think this is the perfect push to get me writing every day.
Having said all of that, my crafting is most likely going to take a hit, so I will probably be MIA the month of April. I think I'd better start on my Christmas presents this month, so I can focus on writing next month. I bought my yarn a few weeks ago, so hopefully I'll have pics next week.
Reading:
I have had Cinder (Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer on hold at my library since before Thanksgiving. I had actually forgotten about it until I got my email that the book was ready for me to pick up. I sat down the Saturday that I picked it up at the library and read 3/4 of the book. I read the rest of it on Sunday. The last book I read that fast was the first Harry Potter book.
I LOVED this book. If you don't know anything about it, it is a twist on the story of Cinderella. I don't want to give anything away for those who are planning on reading it, but it is super clever and really well written.
Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles #2) is the next book in the series. I believe it is about Little Red Riding Hood. I have that one on hold at the library now. I am only #35 on the list, so I should be getting my notice in the next few weeks!
Linking to Yarn Along.

Good luck with the NaNoWriMo! I loved doing it in the past. I just have too many kids right now to come close to any good word count, lol.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the NaNoWriMo.
ReplyDeleteThat book series actually sounds really interesting.
I love the way your blanket is coming along. I'm doing something similar with the weather.
I'm totally thinking of doing Camp NaNoWriMo, too -- I think I can handle a bit of a smaller word count!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is quite lovely.
ReplyDeleteI think the weather projects are so interesting - takes some dedication.
Good luck with NaNoWriMo!
