This little piggy. . .

I am slowly getting my crafting mojo back. I have several felt animals and felt/crocheted food that I need to finish this month as well as four or five scarves. Unfortunately, I spent most of the weekend working on my author website. Oh well!

I did finish one little guy.

Isn't he cute? He was made from one of Little Hibou Shoppe's patterns. She has got some super cute patterns for hand stitching. He'll be available in my shop on November 2, along with some more of his barnyard friends!

New Plush Toy

I put my yarn away this weekend to work on some new plush toys. I haven't updated my Etsy shop lately, and it is looking a little empty. I'd like to offer a Christmas in July sale this year, so I need to work on adding some new stock, pronto!

This little guy is the first in several new plush toys that will be available in the next few weeks.

 Percy the Penguin

Percy still needs to be stuffed and stitched, but he is well on his way to finding his new home! The adorable penguin pattern is available from Little Hibou Shoppe on Etsy.

Shop Update

Just a quick little post showing some new items in my Etsy shop.

My little fox and raccoon will be available this weekend!

This will most likely be it for the year. I do have one more project ('80s related) I'm working on that I am really trying to get finished, but we'll have to see.

Green Eggs and Ham Tutorial

Do you like
green eggs and ham?
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.
I do not like
green eggs and ham.

Materials
Felt: white, light green, dark green
Embroidery thread: white, light green, dark green
Embroidery needle
Polyfil

Directions
1. Cut felt food pieces using template (2 dark green ovals, 1 light green oval, 2 small light green circles, 1 small white circle, 4 white egg shapes).

2. Place pieces on top of each other, making 2 green eggs and 1 slice of green ham.

3. Sew green yolk onto one piece of white egg, using a running stitch. Stuff yolk before sewing shut. Repeat for second egg.

4. Sew two pieces of white eggs together, using a running stitch. I did not stuff the white part of the egg, but you can if you'd like your egg to be fluffy. Repeat for second egg.

5. Sew white circle onto left hand side of light green oval, using running stitch. Sew light green oval onto one dark green oval, using running stitch.

6. Sew ham slice onto second dark green oval, using a blanket stitch. Stuff ham slice before seeing shut.

7. Enjoy your very own plate of green eggs and ham!
