I am starting to think about Christmas presents, so I have a lot of crochet projects on my mind. I figure I better get anything I am making for myself done soon. So, I am back to working on my doily afghan. I finally finished my first square, but I am not sure I like the size. The original pattern showed the doily just fitting on the square, but mine is quite a bit bigger.
I've just started the second square, so if I am going to frog it I'm going to have to do it soon. After thinking long and hard about it, I think I would really like it smaller. And, as much as I hate to start it over I think I'm going to frog it and make it the size I want. :(

A few weeks ago I stocked up on some Christian fiction. I have been having a difficult time finding Christian mysteries, so I was thrilled when I came across this book, Rest in Peace by Frances Devine. I'm only about 2 chapters in, but I'm enjoying it, so far.
Since I am currently writing a Christian mystery, I am really paying attention to the way the murder is handled. I notice it is a lot like in a cozy mystery. I also realized this is part of a series of Christian mysteries, Hometown Mysteries. I am going to have to check out the other books in the series.

In other news, I just finished a blog makeover. What do you think? I liked the other design a lot, but some of the links weren't working anymore. Some of the links are still not working, but I'm hoping to have everything up and running by the weekend. I tried to locate my blog designer, but she has fallen off the face of the Earth. So, I decided to redo it myself. I really do like the brighter colors (a little like Cath Kidston) and the one sidebar layout instead of two.
I'm also working on posting on a more regular basis. I miss crafting and blogging about my crafts, so I'll be changing that in the coming weeks. I'll also be taking part in Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day.
I still haven't decided what I will be giving away, but it will most likely be some sort of play food item. I also have a fun new series I am working on. I'll be posting about it early next month. Lots going on around here, and I'm really excited about it! :)
