My Desert Cottage is hosting a blog party ~ "Where Bloggers Create 2013". What a fun idea! Now we get to see where all of the talented crafters work.
My craft area is pretty much anywhere in my house. I craft on my dining room table while waiting for dinner to cook, on the couch while listening to '80s music on the radio, in bed while watching TV, or in my official craft room (my second bedroom).
I used to have the entire room serve as my craft room, but over the years it has become harder and harder to keep it solely a craft room. I now have a single bed and some shelves in there, as well as my computer table, but I do still have one whole wall for my crafts!

My favorite thing in my "craft" room is definitely my yarn. It has taken me several years to stash this much yarn, but I now have a little of every color, weight, and fiber. Yay! Plus, it is all color coordinated and organized.
I also spend quite a bit of time crafting on my couch in the living room.
I am usually visited by one or two of my "helpers". This is Daphne, my 9-year old tortie. Drusilla is my 9-year old black kitty, who was taking a break from helping me craft to take a nap in the sun.
Poor Daphne! I think her intention was to help, but she just ended up napping instead. :)
I also store my hooks and myexpensive fancy craft scissors on the mantle in my living room. I'm glad to have them all stored in one place. If I didn't, I'd be sure to lose them throughout the house!
